Animals are the biggest money sink but you'll eventually want at least one bull to hold 90% of your inventory without slowing down the rest of the group. The more people you can sustain with income (Ruins Delving, City Sieging, Fighting, and finally if you're weak, Mining), the better. You could probably beat the game with at least two people if you were ready to grind like a lot. I recommend just mining until you can get about 1000-2000 cats and buying (NOT hiring a merc, that's temporary) a companion. Playing the game solo is basically a challenge mode and giving up on certain endgame scenarios and learning to cheese fights. Welcome to Kenshi, Solo Characters no matter how strong, are in constant danger since being knocked out means death 90% of the time when there's nobody else to heal/save you. >i tried going outside to mine alone ofc but its slow money and sometimes some group shows up and fucks my char up Believe it or not, working as a slave in the Holy Lands gets beneficial- you get to practice labor, lockpicking, stealth and running, and get fighting practice too.Īfter a while, get a buddy or two and get him the same training regimen.Īfter a while, you 3 will take on literal squads, and win, even againts fucking mid tier fucks. At that point, it's time to hunt bounties. This is why you trained that running skill. Then start fighting non-meat eating monsters (you dont wanna get eaten), or slavers. Why? Because once combat begins, there's a high chance you could lose a limb. Your strength and running skill will be fucking on point. Then you'll want to find a place that's somewhat safe and near places that have arm/leg replacements. You should do endless hours of mining and carrying heavy fucking weights for goddamn hours. ![]() You actually dont want to start fighting. See, the problem is that the game is actually kind of counter-intuitive. Also always have a medkit in your inventory or a robot repair kit if you're a robot It's also a good way of obtaining decent equipment unless you own a base and have your own master craftsmen.īuy a backpack to hide your food and fight starving bandits to level up your combat skills in the early game as they only steal your food, but you can prevent that by putting the food in your backpack, unequip it and place it in your character's inventory. I made over 400 000 cats just by fighting of groups of enemies and selling their stuff/turning in bounties. You can do that, you can trade, you can explore, you can be a bounty hunter, you can own a shop and sell stuff or maybe build a town or a small city. ![]() >all I can really do is run around and steal everything that isn't nailed dow You can also change the job priorities in the tab from the right bottom of the screen. That's how you isue "Job" orders that the characters will do. You shift+right click one character and press follow. >Also, I got some more party members, but how do I make them follow me automatically? ![]() You need to play the shinobi boss 10 000 cats >I spawned in a city with a thieves guild, why can't I join them? This makes some recruitables have higher than shit stats to fit their backstory while raising their recruitment cost which is pretty balanced and neat. Saddly dropped it for watching some youtube Endless Space let's plays, but it's comfy knowing I can come back to re-exploring the Kenshi world with my dudes and dudettes once I feel the urge to. I got to the point where only the cities'guards or the Ashlands became a challenge for my group. I even managed to get two robotic limbs for Beep and keep him alive after a lot of fights. In my last playthrough I played as a wandering freedom fighters' band of sorts in which all 7 of my chars had around 60-70 in the combat skills. Then you get to level up your character stats pretty fast. The only mod you need is faster bed heals, which isn't a game breaking or lore breaking mod, it's just a convenience one.
